L.C. Lewis Book Giveaway ***ENDED***

When I was approached by an ACTUAL author about her being featured on Dandy Giveaway I was so excited, because....I love to read! I also love to read CLEAN books and if it's historical then all the better! L.C. (Laurie) Lewis is a mother and an author who grew up in rural Maryland. Obviously this part of the country is rich in history of the early founding of our nation. So it's not surprising that Laurie would use her talent to craft novels about the life and times in our nation's history; particularly the War of 1812. She is the author of a series entitled Free Men and Dreamers; Volume 1, Dark Sky At Dawn and Volume 2, Twilight's Last Gleaming.

The third volume was just released this month: Dawn's Early Light.

Just in time for the gift giving holidays if you have someone on your list who has read the others. Or there's no time like the present to introduce the first novel to yourself or someone who loves to read historical fiction! As an extra incentive to purchase a holiday gift for someone...Laurie will send autographed bookplates or an autographed copy to readers who want to give personalized books for Christmas gifts. On a recent Thanksgiving trip to Salt Lake City I just had to pick up a copy of the first volume. Well, two Deseret Books and a Barnes and Noble later I found it! Apparently after the release of the third book there has been a rush on the first one and it was hard to come by in store. But both book stores are very good about stocking their shelves, so I'm sure the new shipment is already on order! :) And there is never anything wrong with buying books online. Amazon is one of my faves! Here's an idea...everyone get the first book, too and then we can start our very own Dandy Giveaway Bookclub! :)
