Laurie (L.C.) Lewis ***ENDED***

I'm half way through reading the book, "Dark Sky At Dawn" by Laurie (L.C.) Lewis.  It's the first book in her "Free Men And Dreamers" series and it's awesome!  I just love the author's portrayal of historical fiction and her writing style.   I don't want to give anything away, but I will say that it's about fictional plantation owners in the South at the start of the War of 1812; their lives, families, and secrets...with some romance thrown in!  Now I do have a little confession to make.  I bought the book back around the December holidays, started reading it in February, and I'm still reading it!  Why the hold up?  Enter the 2 year-old in my midst!  What I wouldn't give for a day that I could just read ALL DAY LONG!  Those days are no longer.  However, believe me when I say that the first book in the series "Free Men and Dreamers" is a great one!  I'm looking forward to reading many more of her books.  When will I finish all of them?  How about a year from now when my little boy starts preschool!  Then I will be taking some all day reading days.  I think after surviving the toddler years I'll deserve it.  :)

Laurie's latest novel, "Awakening Avery", hit the shelves on April 3rd.

I have no doubt that it's sure to be her next bestseller!  To celebrate it's launch there's actually a huge Blog Tour Promotion going on right now!  Until June 13th you can enter to win some fabulous prizes.  So enter away!

On a side note...I just want to say thank you to Laurie for providing me with an intriguing read to escape with in my down time.  :)

And the giveaway is...

The winner of this giveaway is going to receive an autographed copy of "Awakening Avery," a book mark, and a copy of Anne Bradshaw's "Famous Family Nights."  Now that one great literary giveaway package!

I LOVE her writing. I used to work at Seagull Book in Spanish Fork Utah and even got to meet her. She is SO FABULOUS!!! I not only got into the Freemen series, I became one of the bystanders in the story, it is so real and makes you feel what it was like to live in that era. Thanx for sharing one of my fav authors.
